Atalee Judy is a Chicago based experimental dancemaker, performer, teacher and is the founding artistic director of BONEdanse (formerly Breakbone DanceCo est 1997). Her work is often charged with a punk rock intensity alongside her athletic and poignant performances which consistently collide with socio-political commentary. Over the past 20 years saturated in Chicago’s dance scene she has been supported by numerous grants & fellowships to create over 30 dance works, 15 dance films and has been able to produce 19 full evening length productions. Her work has been presented nationally as well as in Toronto, Amsterdam, and Kostroma (Russia). Atalee earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance & Choreography, with Honors in Outstanding Achievement, at Columbia College Chicago in 1994. For more information please visit bonedanse.com.
