Samuel Hanson was born in Salt Lake City in 1988. His formative dance training was with Hilary Carrier at West High School and at Tanner Dance at the University of Utah. His recent work has been seen at the University’s New Media Wing Theater, the Rose Wagner Center, loveDANCEmore’s Mudson Performance series, in Montana and New York. He has performed for an ecclectic mix of artists including Ashley Anderson, Neta Pulvermacher, Jennifer Nugent, Yve Laris Cohen, Lindsey Drury and Katie Meehan. In August, he graduated from the University of Utah with a self-designed Bachelor’s degree in Performance and Media.
Samuel Hanson created, when we were very young for the Salt Lake City edition, curated by Ashley Anderson of loveDANCEmore. when we were very young has also been featured at Screen Deep (curated/organized by loveDANCEmore) at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Fear No Film Festival (an annual event during the 2012 Utah Arts Festival) and 2 Filmmakers 2 Shorts” at the Salt Lake City Public Library, curated by Paul Reynolds.
