Sara June is a Boston-based movement and performance artist working in contemporary improvisational forms and butoh dance. She is interested in the interconnections between new technological forms, psychoanalytic and neurobiological theories of human attachment, modern construction of AI systems, and their uses in dance-making.
James Ellis Coleman received his MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Coleman utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to translate and give form to concepts, ideas, and histories both personal and societal. He believes that we must continually contextualize our lives.
Sara June and James Ellis Coleman created Conjugated for the Boston edition curated by Alissa Cardone of Kinodance. Available for live-streaming when you buy a ticket. 65% of the ticket revenue goes back to our artists to support their work. Thanks for believing in the magic and potential in dance film as an art form.
